Prestbury Tennis Club has a thriving mini and junior section of 200 members. We have a comprehensive coaching and social tennis programme to suit all levels, from absolute beginners through to advanced players. Activities are broken down into appropriate age groups including Mini-Tots (age 3+), Mini-Tennis Players (age 4+), family workshops and Juniors (age 11-18).
Our emphasis is always on healthy fun, with the goal of developing physical, mental and social skills and a lifetime love for the sport. The club runs a “This Girl Can” and “Tennis for Kids” programmes.
Beginners and Improvers
A lot of young players want to come to the club and have fun with their friends. Inclusive coaching is available for all levels, and junior club nights run during the season.
For the players in different age groups who enjoy the extra challenge of competition tennis, Prestbury Tennis Club participates in the “Point One” and LTA leagues in the different age groups.
Prestbury Tennis Club has coaching for advanced players and facilitates progression to the regional LTA Performance Programme. Coaches can advise players and parents as they progress through the “player pathway” in their tennis career.
Safeguarding and Club Welfare Officer
If a child has a problem or concern, they should always tell someone. We have a Welfare Officer to ensure that the club provides a safe, inclusive and professional environment for everyone. Prestbury Tennis Club satisfies the 5 minimum standards required for venue registration by the LTA.
